Building the Future: Securing Al-Zahra Centre

Al-Zahra Project is a major step in securing a long-term home for our community. When Unit 12 was purchased in October 2019, it was always intended to serve as an interim centre. Over the past several years, it has played a vital role in supporting our activities and bringing the community together. As our needs continued to grow, the purchase of Unit 11 provided valuable additional space and opened up the possibility of further expansion.

However, both Units 11 and 12 are located on an industrial estate, which was never an ideal setting for a growing community centre. Although these units served us well and helped us meet urgent needs, they were always a temporary solution rather than a suitable long-term home.

The opportunity to acquire a larger and better-suited new building has now given us the chance to move from that interim arrangement to a permanent home for future generations. To make this possible, Al-Zahra Association is selling Units 11 and 12 and using those proceeds toward the purchase of the new property.

This project is about more than simply moving premises. It is about creating a permanent, better-located, and more suitable space for worship, education, community programmes, and wider community service. The new building will provide the stability, accessibility, and room our community needs for decades to come.
